Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 22, 2026

Welcome to Grad Data Coach. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Grad Data Coach website, services, coaching sessions, digital communications, and related resources.

By using this website, submitting an inquiry, booking a session, purchasing a coaching package, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services.

1. About Grad Data Coach

Grad Data Coach provides 1:1 data analysis help, statistical guidance, research methods coaching, software support, results interpretation, and related educational assistance primarily for postgraduate students and researchers.

Our services are intended to help you understand your own research, make appropriate analytical decisions, use statistical software correctly, interpret results, and communicate your analysis confidently.

Grad Data Coach is an independent educational and research-support service and is not affiliated with any university, college, statistical software company, or examination body unless expressly stated.

2. Nature of Our Services

Our services are provided for educational, coaching, and research-support purposes.

Depending on the service you request, coaching may include assistance with:

  • selecting appropriate statistical tests or analytical methods;
  • understanding research questions, hypotheses, and variables;
  • preparing and checking datasets;
  • using software such as SPSS, R, Python, Stata, SAS, Minitab, Jamovi, JASP, Excel, SPSS-AMOS, SmartPLS, and similar analytical tools;
  • interpreting statistical output;
  • understanding assumptions and diagnostic tests;
  • reviewing analysis requested by a research supervisor;
  • understanding tables, figures, models, and statistical results;
  • preparing to explain or defend analytical decisions;
  • improving your understanding of research methods and statistics; and
  • troubleshooting data-analysis or statistical-software problems.

The exact scope of assistance depends on the service or package purchased and the information you provide.

3. Academic Integrity

Grad Data Coach is a coaching and educational support service. Our goal is to help you understand and perform your own research and data analysis.

You remain responsible for ensuring that your use of our services complies with the academic-integrity requirements of your university, institution, publisher, employer, or other relevant organization.

You must not use Grad Data Coach to:

  • impersonate you during an examination, assessment, defense, or academic evaluation;
  • falsify, fabricate, or manipulate research data;
  • misrepresent work as independently completed when your institution prohibits the assistance received;
  • engage in plagiarism, academic misconduct, or research fraud;
  • circumvent institutional rules or assessment requirements; or
  • request any other activity that we reasonably believe would violate academic or professional integrity standards.

We may refuse or discontinue a request that we believe involves academic misconduct, research fraud, illegal activity, or unethical conduct.

4. Your Responsibility for Your Research

You retain full responsibility for your research project and any work you submit to your university, supervisor, journal, employer, or other institution.

You are responsible for:

  • confirming the accuracy of your data;
  • ensuring that you have permission to use the data you provide;
  • selecting the final analytical approach;
  • checking your institution’s requirements;
  • reviewing any analysis or explanation provided during coaching;
  • maintaining appropriate backups of your files;
  • ensuring that your final work accurately represents your research; and
  • being able to explain and defend your own methodology and results.

Coaching does not transfer academic responsibility from you to Grad Data Coach.

5. No Guarantee of Academic Outcomes

We aim to provide high-quality, accurate, and useful data-analysis support. However, we cannot guarantee:

  • approval from your supervisor or committee;
  • acceptance of a dissertation or thesis;
  • a particular grade;
  • successful completion of a degree;
  • approval of a particular statistical method;
  • publication in a journal;
  • acceptance of an article;
  • successful defense or viva performance; or
  • any particular academic, professional, or research outcome.

Academic decisions are made by your university, supervisor, examination committee, journal, or other relevant authority.

6. Information You Provide

To provide appropriate support, you may be asked to provide information about your research, such as your research questions, methodology, variables, dataset, questionnaire, supervisor feedback, statistical output, or related documents.

You agree that information you provide to us will, to the best of your knowledge, be accurate and lawful to share.

You should remove names, identification numbers, contact details, medical identifiers, or other unnecessary personally identifiable information belonging to research participants before uploading or sending research files.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary authority and permission to share any data or documents submitted to us.

7. File Uploads and Research Documents

Where the website allows document uploads, files should contain only information reasonably necessary for us to understand your request.

You should not upload:

  • passwords or account credentials;
  • highly sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for the analysis;
  • unlawfully obtained data;
  • copyrighted material that you do not have permission to share; or
  • malicious files, software, or executable code.

Uploaded documents may be transmitted to us for the purpose of reviewing your inquiry or providing the requested service.

Further details about how information is handled are provided in our Privacy Policy.

8. Inquiries and Custom Quotes

Submitting an inquiry does not automatically create an obligation for Grad Data Coach to accept the work.

We may review your requirements before confirming that we can provide the requested support.

For projects that do not fit one of our standard coaching packages, we may provide a custom quote based on factors such as:

  • complexity of the analysis;
  • amount of work involved;
  • required software or methodology;
  • number of research questions or models;
  • urgency;
  • amount of data preparation required; and
  • expected coaching or review time.

A custom quote is valid only for the scope described in that quote and may include an expiry date.

If the scope materially changes after the quote is issued, an updated quote may be required.

9. Prices and Payments

Prices displayed on the website are shown in the currency indicated on the relevant page or checkout.

Payment may be required before a coaching session, package, or other paid service begins unless we expressly agree otherwise.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as PayPal. Grad Data Coach does not directly control the operation of third-party payment systems.

Your use of a third-party payment provider may also be subject to that provider’s own terms and privacy policies.

We do not guarantee that every payment option, including card payment through a third-party provider, will be available in every country.

10. Coaching Packages

A coaching package covers the services described at the time of purchase.

Packages may differ in:

  • session duration;
  • number of sessions;
  • level of support;
  • intended scope; and
  • period during which the service should be used.

Purchasing a package does not entitle the client to unlimited additional analysis, revisions, meetings, or work beyond the package’s stated scope.

If additional support is required, you may be asked to book another session, purchase another package, or accept a custom quote.

11. Scheduling, Rescheduling, and Attendance

Clients should attend scheduled coaching sessions at the agreed date and time.

If you need to change an appointment, please contact us as early as reasonably possible.

Repeated missed appointments, very late cancellations, or significant delays by the client may affect scheduling or the ability to complete support within an expected timeframe.

Where a separate cancellation or refund rule applies, it will be explained in our Refund Policy or in the terms accompanying your particular booking or quote.

12. Deadlines

We may provide estimated turnaround times or availability information, but such estimates are not guarantees unless we expressly agree to a specific deadline in writing.

Completion times may be affected by:

  • delayed responses from the client;
  • incomplete or incorrect data;
  • changes to research requirements;
  • additional supervisor feedback;
  • software or technical problems;
  • expansion of the original scope; or
  • other circumstances reasonably outside our control.

If you are working toward an academic deadline, you should contact us early enough to allow sufficient time for review, coaching, revisions, and unexpected delays.

13. Supervisor Feedback and Revisions

We may help you understand and respond to statistical or methodological feedback received from a supervisor, committee, reviewer, or examiner.

However, a new request or substantial change in analytical requirements may fall outside the scope of the original coaching session or package.

Additional support may therefore require additional coaching time or a new quote.

14. Communication

We may communicate with you using the email address, phone number, or other contact information that you provide.

You are responsible for ensuring that your contact details are correct and that you monitor them for communications relating to your inquiry, booking, payment, or service.

Submitting an inquiry does not mean that Grad Data Coach has accepted a project until acceptance or scheduling has been communicated to you.

15. Confidentiality and Privacy

We understand that research documents and academic projects may contain information that clients consider confidential.

We will take reasonable measures to protect information provided to us and use it for purposes connected with delivering the requested services, operating the website, complying with legal requirements, preventing abuse, and maintaining our records.

Our collection and handling of personal information is further described in our Privacy Policy.

Clients remain responsible for removing unnecessary confidential participant information before sharing research datasets.

16. Intellectual Property

The Grad Data Coach website, including its original text, graphics, branding, design elements, educational resources, and website functionality, is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use materials provided during your coaching for your own personal educational and research purposes unless otherwise stated.

You may not, without permission:

  • reproduce substantial portions of our website for commercial use;
  • resell our coaching materials;
  • republish proprietary resources as your own;
  • copy our website content for another commercial service; or
  • remove copyright or ownership notices from proprietary material.

Your ownership of your own original research material remains with you.

17. Third-Party Software and Services

Coaching may involve third-party software and platforms including statistical packages, programming languages, payment processors, video-conferencing services, cloud storage providers, or other online tools.

Grad Data Coach does not own or control these third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, security, pricing, licensing requirements, changes, downtime, or technical limitations.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have lawful access to any software required for your research.

18. Website Availability

We aim to keep the website and inquiry system available and functioning correctly, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • maintenance;
  • hosting problems;
  • software updates;
  • security measures;
  • internet outages;
  • third-party service failures; or
  • circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue website features when reasonably necessary.

19. Prohibited Website Use

You must not use the website to:

  • introduce viruses or malicious code;
  • attempt unauthorized access to the website or server;
  • interfere with website security;
  • abuse inquiry or review forms;
  • submit fraudulent information;
  • impersonate another person;
  • attempt payment fraud;
  • scrape or reproduce substantial portions of the website without authorization; or
  • use the website for unlawful purposes.

We may restrict access where misuse, fraud, security threats, or other prohibited activity is suspected.

20. Testimonials and Reviews

Clients may be invited to submit feedback regarding their experience.

Submission of a review does not guarantee publication. We may moderate reviews to prevent spam, abusive material, personally identifiable information, irrelevant content, or content that violates applicable law.

We will not intentionally alter the substance of a genuine published review in a way that misrepresents the reviewer’s experience.

Where appropriate, identifying information may be abbreviated or limited to protect client privacy.

21. Refunds

Eligibility for refunds depends on the circumstances and the service purchased.

Please refer to our separate Refund Policy for information about cancellations, completed sessions, unused sessions, packages, custom work, and payment disputes.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Grad Data Coach will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses arising from use of the website or coaching services.

This includes, without limitation, losses arising from:

  • academic decisions made by a university or supervisor;
  • failure to achieve a particular grade;
  • rejection of a dissertation, thesis, manuscript, or research proposal;
  • misuse or misunderstanding of statistical advice;
  • errors in data supplied by the client;
  • data loss where the client has failed to maintain backups;
  • third-party software or service failures; or
  • actions taken contrary to the guidance provided.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

23. Refusal or Termination of Service

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate services where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • a request involves academic misconduct;
  • a client provides unlawful or fraudulent material;
  • payment has not been made as agreed;
  • abusive or threatening behavior occurs;
  • the requested work falls outside our expertise;
  • continuing the engagement would create an ethical or legal concern; or
  • these Terms are materially breached.

Where payment has already been made, any refund entitlement will be considered under the applicable Refund Policy and relevant circumstances.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically to reflect changes to our services, website features, payment arrangements, or legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

Continued use of the website or services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

26. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Disclaimer, any applicable booking terms, and any accepted custom quote, constitute the terms governing your use of the relevant Grad Data Coach services.

Where a written custom quote contains specific terms that conflict with these general Terms, the specific terms of the accepted quote will apply to that particular engagement.
